About

Udaan for Change TRUST is registered under the Mumbai Public Trust Act, 1950. The Trust is formed on 15th July 2017, by Ms. Jayashri Shinde as the Chief Trustee.

When she witnessed women with many problems due to a lack of self-confidence, education, and family support, she decided to help them, and she took the initiative to help them to gain confidences. As a result, few started their own small business, and others got jobs. But then she thought if she needs to reach the deserving people, she needs to form an organization and so Udaan for Change was born.

The aims, objects, and purposes of the Trust are of the public charitable in nature. This includes the promotion and wellbeing of women and youth initially by providing them skill-based education, better living Environment & employment opportunities. The Trust aim at charitable objects and other objects of general public utility without any discrimination of caste, creed, color, region, or sex.

Our Mission

Udaan means Flight, so Mission of Udaan for Change is to help women and youth to take a flight to become a financially independent and responsible Indian citizen.
In our society, there are many women who, because of lack of knowledge, confidence, and social pressures, are not able to come out of their problems.
So our mission is not only to give women and youth wings to take their flight but also to teach them to fly by providing knowledge, and confidence, thereby improving national competitiveness and more significant opportunity, skills, and spirit.

Aims and objectives

To promote gender equality; empowering women.
To promote education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly and the differently-abled and livelihood enhancement projects.
To work with special concentration for the Child & Women Welfare.
To organize and take up Health, Educational and Welfare programs for needy Women and children on a priority basis.
To counselling and guidance to young generation kids for a better future.
To award scholarship, stipends, awards, medical aid and other concessions to pupils and deserving women who study in a school conducted by the trust and also to provide books to deserved students and scholars.
To start the painting classes, English Speaking Classes, Montessori Teachers Training and also Tailoring Classes For the poor students.
To organized and take-up Health, Educational and Welfare programs for needy & poor Women & Children.
To organized vocational training for women and needy people.
To run/operate different types of education program/schools like formal, non-formal, pre-school for the education development of underprivileged children of the community/trust.
